The junction of Dalberg Road and Water Lane, near Yoga Point, is closed for roadworks, meaning buses are being diverted and causing problems for motorists.

Bus routes 3, 196 and 37, heading south, turn left at Saltoun Road rather than continuing down Effra Road. Drivers heading from Effra Road to Dulwich Road are forced to turn left from Morval Road into Barnwell Road and on to Railton Road.

Lambeth council is installing improvements to the junction, and the work is expected to finish on February 15.

  1. But it causes problems for cyclists too and it’s a popular cycle route. I was wondering how long the risk of being squashed by a double decker was going to go on for.

  2. Poor motorists? Get over it or take another route for the next 10 days – is this really newsworthy?
